Island of Thoughts II

Here I found myself again on the Island of Thoughts.
Laying in the bathtub, enjoying the bubbles and streams with some Feng Shui music on the background, I floated off to my Island again. Hoovering over my thoughts, watching everything from the outside.

Beautiful really.

You know I even came up with a theory. Theoretically speaking everything could be for free.
Say someone who likes to build things as a hobby, they could build machines as their hobby for free. Then those could be used to process things. E.g. to make cheese out of the milk, which farmers (who do their farming as a hobby, for free). And if someone doesnt have any skills which they could do as a hobby to contribute to this world, then why not have someone who's good at it, teach it to them.
That'd be the perfect world. Everything could be for free in this world then. I think many people would be so much happier then. I know I would.
There would be no need to make money anymore, because everything'd be for free anyway. There would be no greedy people anymore because anything would be for free anyway.
I guess I'm creating myself a fantasy here..

how many people do you know with hobbies that involve unclogging toilettes or collecting trash?

lets face it, without money this world would go down really fast.

yes you're right it is impossible, practically speaking. But theoretically... ah well it's a nice thought imo, but yeah totally not realistic. Oh well, I was in one of my ramble moments so don't pay attention to it lol.

That anonymous poster is a dick. Humans used to exist just fine, before the artificial constructs of capitalism and the Protestant work ethic invaded our culture.

Anthropologists say that primitive man used to spend very little time doing what we would consider 'work' (hunter-gathering etc) and spent much more time indulging in recreation activities. The long working hours we put up with these days to stay on top of the consumer rat-race can hardly be deemed an advancement. Yeah, so we have medical advancements to prolong our lives, so we can carry on the burden of living on this greed-infested shithole of a planet. Fuck it.

It's very glib of you to talk about unclogging 'toilettes' (French toilet?) or collecting trash, but I think the idea is that we should be doing the shitty jobs ourselves anyway.

Without money, this world would last for a very much longer time that it currently has left, being breathlessly raped for what little resources we have left to sustain our pathetic pampered existences - where it seems some people have nothing better to do than post on blogs bemoaning another person's idealistic daydreams. How meaningless is that?

Go Ester!

wow thanks for that comment :) Made me smile :-D

I like having these "daydreams", thinking of theories like this, how to improve the world and all that jazz. Even if they are impossible to realize. It does give us... like takes me away from the real world, which is so full of hurt and pain.

Isn't it nice to be able to think of a beautiful world in your mind? I think that as long as you can do that, there is hope.

okay and this probably doesnt make any sense yet again lol sorry.

hope the other anonymous poster has alot of fun unclogging his porcelain god and dcomposing the trash of the neighborhood .... since he/she is so convinced it shuoldnt be a paying job.

ideal worlds are nice. contributing to the world we currently live in and making it even a tiny bit happier place is nicer. you could start with that Ester.

Nah. This place went bad a long time ago. We need a reboot - minus the organised religion this time around please.
